I am super excited to share with you guys our Airbnb stay for honeymoon (Yes, I just got married! hehe)
I will also share with you guys our honeymoon itinerary for 5 days, (CLICK HERE) which we rest fully on 2 days (HAHA!). Our honeymoon was mainly for rest, since our wedding was held on the same weekend, my side on Saturday (nikah and sanding on the same day) and the Doa Selamat ceremony at the groom's side was held on Sunday night and I have to work the very next Monday morning to cover the Chinese staffs that already went on their new year holiday. See how much I need rest? Hahaha!
Okay, back to the topic. Lets go!
|| DISCOUNT FOR OUR STAY
For your information, there are 3 main Gili islands here, which are:
2. Gili Air (peaceful, smaller than Gili Trawangan. Best for honeymoon couples)
3. Gili Meno (smallest among 3 islands, most peaceful and for nature lover)
So we choose to stay at Gili Air, and we search for the best rooms with private pool and of course, affordable price. Yes, we do search from numerous search engine, and read the reviews from many sites too.
Wanna know some trick? If you found the best place, for example, us found Shark Stay Villa, search for it at EVERY search engine and hotels website to read reviews and check the price.

|| THE VILLA
I have to be honest- The villa looks exactly like what has been advertised! It's clean and I really love the pool area. It has a king-sized bed and the bed is made up of cement and it's kinda tall compared to the usual bed hahah! Hati-hati lah kalau tidur asyik bergolek tu, if fall down sure sakit gila. 🤣🤣🤣
As for bathing, they prepare hairdryer, bathing robe, face towels, big towels, and of course- shower foam, shampoo and conditioner. Oh did I mention that the shower roof is semi open? We also got fresh towels, daily!
The swimming pool is so nice, and automatic too. It makes the water warm at night and early in the morning~ I love that the pool area as has a table and chairs to hang out and eat, and it also has Sun lounge beside the pool. 
This villa is eco friendly, they use solar system as their electricity source. So It would take some time for the water to turn warm. They only provide bamboo toothbrush, which you can purchase from the customer service. Iron & iron board are provided upon request.
Location wise
This villa is not that far from the jetty, and the road is really good if you compare to other parts of the island. I mean, some villa doesn't have tar and just sand, which you can't cycle and have to get down from your bicycle. You will understand what I mean if you cycle around the island.
Note: there are no vehicles with engines here. Bicycles and horses are used for their transportation.
There are also lots of food stalls nearby. Check out THIS post for where to eat on Gili Air. Halal foods are available everywhere but non-halal food are also available. This villa has its own restaurant, called Shark Bites. A Muslim staff at Shark Villa told us that the meat there, are grilled on the same griller as non halal food, so it is not recommended for Muslims to eat there.
|| THE SERVICE
The staff will wait for you at the jetty and help to carry your luggage to their restaurant named Shark Bites, and from there, you will be given a bicycle for each person and you'll cycle to the villa. It's not that far from the jetty, trust me. And, the best part is, you get the bike for the rest of your stay and there's no need to rent one! I seriously didn't know this.
They will serve you welcome drink which was homemade lemongrass iced tea and cold towel upon arrival, and the staff will explain to you regarding the breakfast. You will need to fill a form which you can just leave on the working area in your room and the staff will take it when they clean the room, or you can send it directly to the customer service counter outside the villa.
I'm not paid to say this but trust me, their service is really quick. There'll be a cellphone in each room and you can call them if you need anything, even from outside the villa.
Host and staffs are super friendly, humble, helpful. We love to tease Mustafa because he seems like a blur kid, who always play video games but so quick to act when we asked for help, while Olive is the silent type but he's so helpful! Olive was the one who waited for us at the jetty, and also the one who sent us back on our last day.

There was a blackout once, but it was solved quickly and the staff apologized to me, and apologized again to my husband. I mean, trust me, they are all so good and humble, really.
|| THE BREAKFAST
Okay, one of the most interesting part about this villa reviews online are the breakfast pictures. Yeaaaa, trust me I was really looking forward for the breakfast as I saw the pictures, and they do look delicious!
And yes, they are delicious. And not to mention- generous. You can order more than 1 set per person too. Like what Mustafa said to us, " amik jeeeeeee". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
|| HOW TO BOOK
Airbnb - Different rate by date, peak period is more expensive. We first decided to go on March but the price was more expensive at that time so we went on Feb'19.

|| OVERALL EXPERIENCE
This villa is perfect for honeymoon couples as the location and distance from Jetty, the ambience, the friendly staffs, bicycle provided the pool, the breakfast, everything!
I totally recommend this villa to you guys, it's private and it's not far from the mosque. It's convenient for us Muslims, and we didn't need alarm clock to wake up for subuh prayer hee.
Overall, I (should i say " we" ? Hehe) rate this villa:
