LIFE TALKS | MY KITTEN DIED

Assalamualaikum everyone.

ALERT : THIS IS A SAD POST, I pour my heart out especially at the last part TT_TT

Okay so 16/05/2019 was a very, very sad day for both my husband and I. Yes, one of our kitten died.

I said that I seldom talk about any personal matter in my blog in my previous post. But I didn't mean that I wanna write anything personal this soon, especially this personal. TT_TT


People who have never adopted / own a pet might be like, yeah, their cat died. Life comes and goes. But for people who do own a pet, they really know how it feels. A pet is not just an animal, it's our family!

Few years back, I have a colleague who own lots of cats, and one day she take leave from work for several days, to take care of her sick cat. And when that cat died, she was so down and sad for few days. sometimes after few weeks, we still saw her after-cry face. I never own a pet that time, and I was like, why is she so sad? Why did she cry so much? It's just a cat. There'll be another cat though.

And I was completely wrong.

COMPLETELY WRONG.

I realized it later when I took care of my husband's cat (back then BF) when he moved overseas to work for a few years. A cat, is a cat. But if it's yours, it's not just a cat.

||     CHAEMONG & CHOPPER

Chopper

- Naughty
- Bising gila (meow a lot)
- His meow doesn't sound "meow", but "wae" instead. Kpop celup ko ni.
- Both eyes were infected when we first took him in, but he's now fine and his eyes are so round and cute!
- Active
- Always hungry
- Eat a lot
- Quite dumb HAHA (Sometimes super dumb haha!)
- Not good in grooming himself
- Black colored, but go white fur at his chest. Like what, iron man? Iron Cat, who speaks Korean? hahaha!

Chaemong
- Fur very thick and soft!
- Very, very good boy
- People will say "awww so cute" immediately after seing him
- Independent
- Intelligent, easy to teach
- Very clean and always grooming himself
- Always grooming chopper too since Chopper is quite dumb and not as clean as him
- Caring
- Not as bising as Chopper, silent but active
- Calm and nice
- Great at making innocent face when scolded hahah!
and the list goes on...

||     THE JOURNEY          

     25/04/2019     

I rented a house with my housemates before I got married and one of my housemate started to buy food for stray cats that came to out house. And I called one of them Baby. Baby is a beautiful female cat with gorgeous fur and Baby once gave birth to super cute kittens but she kinda don't give a damn about them so they disappeared.

So when I move in with my husband, I asked them to let me know if Baby give birth again because my husband and I are cats freak haha. On 25/04/2019, they sent a picture of bucket of kittens so we go straight that night to adopt one of them.

There was supposed to be 5 kittens but there was only 2 when we came. So we decided to take Chaemong and left the other one with her mother but he was sooo soooo active I came to like her. But nope, I think 1 cat is enough but when we took Chaemong to our car, the black cat keeps chasing us (and yeah, Baby don't give a f haha!).

So we took them both and name the black one Chopper. You know, C & C, and Chopper is a character from One Piece manga.

We thought the other 3 kitten was taken by some other strangers, turned out they were at the neighbor's house and came back the next day after we took both Chaemong & Chopper. 🤣🤣🤣

then began our parenting (LOL) journey.
     14/05/2019     

Chaemong became very passive and so relax. He will lie with me a lot, and sleep with me all night long. Well, we usually do that so I never really notice why is he acting like that. None of us did, But he did scream when we hold his tail, so we checked it but no bruises or whatever so we thought he just dislike his tail being touched. And this tail thing started like, days earlier.

     15/05/2019     

My husband made them milk but both of them didn't drink it so we decided we should start giving them food. Chaemong became more passive too and we thought he was just, hungry and have no energy. 

Both of them ate soo sooooo well when we put the food in front of them. So you see, no problem at all right? Chaemong didn't loose his appetite and he just wanna eat food, instead of drink milk.

And we slept together again that night~

     16/05/2019     

Chaemong ate, but is still weak. We decided to take him to doctor later after we get back from work since we both have something urgent to settle that day. But I really, really didn't feel good about that. So both of us rushed back home and my husband arrived first. He found that Chaemong is lying unable to get up, but he still get up from his rest nest to the pooping area to poop, while lying 😭😭😭😭

I mean, he's such a good and clean boy. He didn't want to trouble us to have to clean his shit if he poop elsewhere 😭😭😭 (when Chopper was sick, he poop elsewhere and Chaemong was the one trying to cover his shit, like cats did after they poop).

We took him to the vet and the doctor gave him antibiotic, injection and found his leg injury when he's scanning Chaemong's body. Turned out the infection started to make his leg weak, and gave them bruises. Sampai bernanah but the nanah (pus) was inside the skin, the doctor only found out when he press Chaemong's leg and it went out.

The doctor treat him and did say that extra attention needs to be given if he survived the next 12 hours, and that we need to separate Chaemong and Chopper. Turned out the virus started way earlier, back when he started to yell to us when we touch his tail.

And that Chopper might be the one carrying the virus but he's not sick since he's just the carrier. (He did eat Chopper's puke few weeks earlier when Chopper was sick. I saw it and immediately stopped him, but yeah...)

And that night after Isya' time, Chaemong died...

||     TO CHAEMONG          

You're such a great kitten, the kitten that I always dreamed of having. Mommy mintak maaf sebab we didn't realize that you're sick. I'm sorry that we left you in the room while we went to work, since you're just a little kitty (can't afford to loose you). But we do plan to relase you guys after you guys can eat solid food since we don't like putting cats in the cage.

Thanks for helping us, being a happy pill for us, thanks teman Mommy watch "How I met your Mother" and play with youtube videos, thanks teman Mommy bila kita tunggu daddy balik terawih, thanks for grooming Chopper, thanks for being such a wonderful kitten I've always wanted.

And thanks, for being such a nice kitten. Sakit-sakit pon merangkak masuk tempat berak, berak sambil baring sebab dah tak larat sangat... Sakit-sakit pon taknak susahkan Mommy kena basuh tahi awak...

We will always love you & miss you.

Chopper pon miss you, he was so hectic and noisy but when you died, he immediately became silent. And he's alone now without someone to play with while waiting for us to get back home.... We miss you...

My previous Cat (bf's cat then I take over) was named Chaemong too.

I wish we realized sooner, but Allah knows best. Ada hikmah behind everything happened. He let us meet you for almost 1 month and He took you away for a reason. Whatever it is, we love you and miss you so much.

P/s: It's been two days but Chopper changed A LOT! I told you guys that he was dumb, right? he didn't cover his shit whenever he poop but Chaemong helped instead. But this time, he did it! And he was super duper bising and make annoying sound, it was almost impossible for him to stop meowing but now he acts like a normal cat and behave soo good.

Update : Chopper died few days after Chaemong because of the same disease... TT.TT Mommy miss you both!!!
