SKIN1004 MADAGASCAR CENTELLA ASIATICA TONER, AMPOULE, CREAM & ZOMBIE MASK | REVIEW

Assalamualaikum and helloooo~

It took me a while to write this post since I wanna make sure that the products really work on my skin. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Also, my colleague took one month leave and I have to settle her works too. It's been a super duper busy month for me TT.TT #bossiwantbonusthismionth HAHA

So I won giveaway from Hermo last Apr and I waited for my toner to finish before trying out the products I've won, since kebetulan dah tinggal sikit. Plus, one bottle of skincare can only be used for 12 months max and I don't wanna waste time trying out new products and bila tak kena & nak switch back, previous toner dah expired. Wasteful kann.

Okay, back to the giveaway I won.  

It's a set of skincare items from Skin1004 worth RM315! I was super excited to find that I was one of the winner since there was only 3 winners for this giveaway. And this set worth RM315, how am I not excited? Hahahah!

This post will be long and packed, but I still write it since I won this set from the same brand. It's like, to elaborate what I won haha! but no worries, I will do an extra posts on the Ampoule (and maybe the Zombie pack) since the ampoule is, more than just any other Ampoule, trust me!

I honestly never heard of this brand and I've never saw it anywhere. So I was really curious and yes, I even did some research whether the product is okay before joining the giveaway. I don't wanna win something I can't use, or make my skin condition worst. Research, baby. Padahal belum confirm menang kahkah!

Skin1004 is a brand from Korea and it has been on market since 2012. Their ingredients are mainly focus on Centella Asiatica, harvested from Madagascar, thus = Madagascar Centella Asiatica. Their products ingredients are safe and chemical-free too!

I'm no expert in the skincare ingredients and I don't even hafal all the harmful ingredients' name as they are really hard to spell and pronounce! Science. Hahahah~ but still, I do know that I have to avoid alcohol, perfume and artificial colorings in skincare.

The amazing part is, they worked really hard and make sure their products does not include alcohol, parabens, triethanolamine, artificial coloring, perfumes and other ingredients that irritates our skin.

||     MADAGASCAR CENTELLA ASIATICA          

When I first heard of this Centella Asiatica thing, I was really impressed by the name. Like, "whoa the name is so elegant & scientific and it must be something really good!"

Turned out, it's daun PEGAGA! Bila dah di"omputeh"kan terus elegant kau padahal kat belakang rumah tepi parit pon banyak hahah! Yes, we Malaysians have been consuming Centella Asiatica for decades. As for me, I will blend the leaves to get the juice, and keep it cold in the fridge before consuming. Super refreshing, I tell you!

So the products I won consists of 4 items which are:
1. Madagascar Centella Asiatica Toning Toner
2. Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule
3. Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cram
4. Zombie Pack & Activator Kit

1.     Madagascar Centella Asiatica Toning Toner     

This toner have a water-like texture, and is very light. It reminded me of the toners I used in the past, which are Nature Republic Aloe Vera Toner and The Body Shop aloe vera toner. These 3 have the same texture and thickness.

This Toning Toner is a gentle exfoliating toner, and it's suitable for daily use. It contains Gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA)- which offers all benefits of AHA but it's gentle to the skin (suitable for sensitive skin)

Pros :
* Water-like texture
* Light scent
* Doesn't sting my skin
* Absorbs well but I can feel it's on my skin
* Not sticky
* Relieve itchiness caused by dry skin
Cons :
It's moisturizing effects impressed me and i can say it worked great! But my skin is really dry, it needs more. I put the toner in a spray bottle to be used in the office hehe.

Will I purchase this?
No, because my skin needs more.

Will I recommend this to my friends?
For dry and sensitive skin, yes. For really dry skin, if you want to use this, please don't skip emulsion.


2.     Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule     

I was quite shocked to see how big the bottle for the ampoule is! It's not as thick as other ampoules I've tried, but you can definitely feel it on your skin. The results surprised me as I thought since the texture is not as thick as other ampoule, it won't work that well. But, yeah!

The only ingredient for this ampoule is Centella Asiatica Extract.

100% baby, 100%

I really love this ampoule and trust me, you can use I in many ways too. I'm definitely gonna make a separate entry regarding this ampoule later. stay tuned!

Pros :
* Not as thick as other ampoules I've tried
* Very light scent
* Doesn't sting my skin
* Absorbs well
* Moisturized
* Helps in getting rid of my scars- seriously!

Cons :not found yet, will update here once found!

3.     Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream          

Okay by far, i really love this cream. It moisturizes and soothes your skin. Much like aloe vera, but I like this better! There's one time where face is itchy and  tried applying this cream as it is said to be good for irritative skin. Guess what, the itchiness goes away immediately!

Of course it would be better if you can wash and cleanse your face but I was super busy at the office at that time. aiceh alasan.

I also used this each time after I wudhu' (washing certain part of our body before solat - face, hands, leg), and it really helps maintaining my skin moisture. My skin is a really dry type, and I don't fancy a very thick skincare. I used Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream before, and compared to that, this cream is more watery and not as oily as Klairs Soothing Cream. It works great with my dry skin!

This cream is said to be able to brightens skin complexions and reduces fine lines. I use it after the ampoule and I really love the moisturizing effect but as for brightens, I still can't see obvious result. Maybe I'll need to use this more often and longer. Natural products tend to take a bit of time compares to chemicals, good things takes time. eh kamon, positif gila Hani. hahaha!

* really great for sensitive skin
* my skin was itchy, put this on, the itchiness stops
* great for ittitative skin
* hydrating, but not oily
* soothing
* doesn't sting my skin
* I love the packaging! Hygenic, and it's PASTEL green!

Cons :
* Well, good things take time. so i'm still observing the brightening effect.
* can't use this with sunscreen, it won't mix well

Will I purchase this?
YES!

Will I recommend this to my friends?
YES!

4.     Zombie Pack & Activator Kit          

This mask is not a ready pack mask that was full with essences. This is a mask that you need to mix it yourself, and it smells like egg. So, when you mix the mask, you can berangan acah-acah chef yang tengah masak tart telur HAHA!

Okay let's get serious.

I love the texture of this mask. It's a bit leceh that you need to mix it yourself, but the result from this mask is really good. My skin becomes smoother, fairer and so refreshing! I'll tell you about the details in my other post, but the only thing I don't like about this mask is the scent.

I mean, the scent is nice, seriously! But it smelled so tasty and egg-like, I can't get near my cats if i'm wearing this or they'll end up crazily chasing me and wanna eat my face hahaha! they even search out my garbage and tombangkan tong sampah for this smell ok. hahaha

My review :
Pros :
* smell like eggs. (pros for me, but cons when I came close to my cats haha!)
* softens skin
* brightens up my skin
* lifting effect is good
* doesn't sting my skin
* comes with a brush so you don't have to go and buy separately!

Cons :
DIY mask, I prefer ready-made haha! 

And,,... the scent. 

Will I purchase this?
Maybe, for the goodness. But I seldom wear DIY wash off mask haha.

Will I recommend this to my friends?
If they like DIY mask, yes.

So, in conclusive, Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica lines are great products! I would totally restock some items, and sorry I took quite a while because I was experimenting with these products & wait to see if it's really okay for my skin.

And if I have to pick top 2 out of these 4, it'll be the cream and the ampoule!
