So, I have been eyeing toner pads for quite long and not sure on what brand should I go with until the 08.08 sale which offers quite huge discount kekeke~ (why bother paying full price when you can get them on sale eh? haha!). And yes, it's Cosrx again. I think this brand kinda stuck with me since the products are so good!
I mean, not every range suits my skin but even if it doesn't, it wont cause my skin to breakout like hell or turns crazy.
There are 3 types of toner pads from Cosrx which are Green Hero, Original and Moisture. I choose Green Hero as it contains Centella (my fav skincare ingredient), Green Tea and suits sensitive skin + this one is suitable for all skin types. As usual, please consider your skin types before you purchase any skincare or makeups.
|| COSRX ONE STEP GREEN HERO CALMING PAD
This product is basically thin pads that are pre-soaked in soothing and refreshing toner derived from natural, plant-based ingredients. It claims to be suitable for those who suffer from red, irritated and sensitive skin while hydrating your skin too.
It contains 75% green tea water, 0.25% PHA and Green-Rx Complex that consists of Dandelion Leaf, Centella Asiatica, Witch Hazel, Tea Tree Leaf and Mugwort Extract. Keep in mind that this toner pad gently exfoliate your skin so if you want a stronger exfoliator, you can use the Original one instead of this Green Hero.

I honestly didn't use cotton pads with toner. I usually just pour the toner directly on my hands and pat it on my skin because there won't be any waste toner on the pad haha! But this is really interesting as the pad is not as thick as the ones usually sold at stores and both sides have different textures too.
Cosrx really did great on sealing the tub as it's really secure and no dripping at all when i first open it even though the box is damaged. Sure enough, it's a little bit hard to open the seal but I honestly don't mind as long as the product is in a good condition. The toner doesn't drip too even after I open the seal and put the tub sideways. There are 70 pads in each tub which last quite long if you just use it once or twice a day.
It has a very, very mild citrusy scent that almost can't be detected which I love because I don't like scented skincares & makeups (especially floral scented, ugh). It would be great if they provide small tweezers / tongs to make it easier to take the pad out piece by piece so you don't have to touch the other pads while trying to get 1 pad out.
|| TEXTURE AND HOW TO USE
This toner pad can be used both before makeup and after removing makeup. It helps to prep your skin better before makeup, and remove excess impurities and dirts after you wash them off. I think this is a very interesting product as the cotton pad has 2 different surfaces; the embossed side and the smooth side.
It's super easy to use and here's how i use it:
1. Use the embossed side first to exfoliate, remove impurities and residue on your skin.
2. Wipe off all of the impurities using the smooth side. done!
Pro tip #1 : for those who have dry / sensitive skin who usually doesn't wash your face with cleanser in the morning, you can just use this!
Pro tip #2 : you can use the pad as a 10 minutes pack! just put it on your skin for 10 minutes and you can proceed with your next step for skincare / makeup.

Cons:
🍁 My skin is a dry type and I need more in terms of moisture
I apply my toner after this toner pad dries off because my skin do need more especially because I sleep with the a/c on. I think my skin should be okay if I didn't turn on the a/c, as a/c sucks more moisture in the air & your skin kan. I'd love to try out the Moisture pad next time as I think that will suits my skin better but I still love this toner pad.
Will I re-purchase?
I might try their Moisture pad or Original pad next, but idk. I love this one so much I think I might just continue using this one (and add toner later, which is not a problem because I usually wear 2 layers of toner at night keke).
