SOKOR TRIP DAY 4 : VIVALDI SKI & NAMSAN TOWER

March 13, 2018

Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone! :D

4th day is one of the most *heavy breathing* anticipated day because we were going to play Ski!!! I've tried ice skalting (lol it wasn't even real ice) but there are so many places with ice skating but ski, you gonna have to come to the right season & place, which is not available in Malaysia! We choose Vivaldi resort as it was the most-visited park and Idk, the marketing does everything and yes we were attracted most to this place.

Oh you should listen to the song " Vivaldi park hot hot". It was so annoying HAHAHAH!

We booked our ticket via Trazy HERE , and wait for the bus at Myeongdong or Hongdae. Since we stayed in Itaewon, we choose to wait in Myeongdong as it's nearer. If you're heading to Myeongdong by subway for the shuttle bus, here's how:

Take subway to Euljiro 1 (il) -ga, (p/s: remember to use Seoul subway app as instructed HERE!)

Exit 8 and go straight in front of Lotte Hotel

So if you're still confused, here's how  to go there: (picture courtesy of Winterfriend). click to enlarge.

Do note that the only return time available for the free shuttle bus is at around 6.00 pm. So if you wanna go back early, you might wanna check taxi or other bus provider (perhaps).

An email confirmation will be sent to you and Trazy will let you know how to get there. And there'll be staff waiting in front of the Lotte Hotel and he will ask for your information. Just show him the email confirmation and you're good to go!

We were greeted by Tyson , and he offered us a private lesson as we were lost in the resort so we couldn't join the group lesson. We (I) sleep all the way from Seoul to Vivaldi park and all I know, tetiba dah sampai so mamai-mamai gile la turun bas. pastu main folo je entah sape depan mata and after endless walking to the unknown destination, we realized, we were lost 😎 back to the story, Tyson teach us the basic of skiing and I'm so glad we took the lesson. Dude, it's our first time and we don't even know how to stop or what to do when we loose control! Bayar sikit takpelah dari acah-acah pandai and cause accidents, aite? I lost Tyson's name card, I wish I can show it because I highly recommend him as your instructor if you are planning to go there.

Ski was fun, until you accidentally fell and not able to stop lol!

I'm not a ski expert and I hate the fact that i cant hit the brake even though it feels like I've made the biggest V shape ever with my legs, Is it because I'm too light? HAHAHA. I was okay when I went to the easiest slope (where kids play), but I give up after the medium slope because of my brake problem bahahaha.

The changing room was quite big and it fits for you to even pray inside it! We bring our own food but there was a halal kebab stall over there. But for the sake of our pocket money (hey, save money when you have the chance!), we choose to bring our own food.

Since our transportation back to Seoul was the shuttle bus and the bus is only available at 6.00pm , we killed the time by going here and there and take pictures while waiting for the bus.

|| NAMSAN TOWER

Getting off in front of Lotte Hotel in Seoul, we made our way to namsan tower. Here's how to get to Namsan Tower from Lotte Hotel Myeongdong:
  • From Euljiro1 (il)-ga to Chungmuro station (exit 2)
  • bus stop will be on the left side of the road in front of Daehan Cinema, you don't need to cross the road
  • wait for bus no.5. it will be there every 30 minutes from 7.30am to 1130pm. Bus fare is W1,100.00 with T-money.
Or click HERE on list of all bus available to go to Namsan Tower.
outstanding view from Namsan Tower.

We choose to go by bus mainly because I completely forgot about the cable car as I was asleep in he bus from Vivaldi park and was in a rush to get off of the bus in Myeongdong hahahah!

It is free if you're just wandering around the area but if you wanna go to the observatory area, of course there's ticket fee. The fee, as stated at their WEBSITE is W10,000.00 per adult but we got them for W 8,000.00. Maybe there are some promotion going on that we were not aware of. And it's not much different compared to going up the KL tower.

The staff will show some sort of video in the lift on your way to the observatory. When we pass the ticket counter, a woman shout "YAAAA!!!!!" behind us. Then she walked (super fast) passed us, to her boyfriend in front of us and smacked him. The security also doesn't know what to do hahah! maybe he was just trying not to be involved in the couple's fight kot. It was my first time seing a woman smack their bf 😅😅😅 . The security just get involved after few minutes lol.

Koreans are full of manner but still, shit happens right. I was so shocked but looking back, it was quite funny especially how the security act when he don't wanna get involved & when he have to stop them hahah. I love the elders over there as they're so cute, loving and kind! super kind, I tell you. Young people are kind too but most of them are kinda afraid to talk to us, because they didn't know English well. But once you speak Koreans with them, they automatically looked relieved and they will surely answer & help you!

Going back to our homestay, we use the same route we came. Bus to Chungmuro station and use the subway app to go back to Hongdae. That wraps up our 4th day in Seoul!

Till Then,
